The City of Cleveland is actively enforcing this ordinance by issuing citations up to $200 per day, per unit that is not in compliance with the ordinance. If your property has lead paint hazards and you fail to remediate them, you may also be held liable if a child is poisoned by lead in the property.

The City of Cleveland has pledged their commitment to working with landlords. Landlords who make reasonable progress and submit quarterly updates (we can take care of that too!) will be in compliance.
